DVM
David Polson graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1983. He began his career at veterinary clinics in Richmond Hill and Thornhill before purchasing an existing clinic in Simcoe in 1990. After some time in Simcoe, he and his family decided to move to a more urban environment. David then worked for several years as a locum veterinarian and at the Hamilton Emergency Clinic.
Wanting to become a clinic proprietor again to continue to provide the level of service and quality care of which he has always been proud, he decided to open his own, new clinic. The perfect location was found and, starting with architectural plans developed with his father-in-law, Royal Ford Veterinary Hospital was built from the ground up, opening in early 1999.
The Polson family passion – beginning in David’s and Rebecca’s childhoods and carried on by their daughter from a very young age – is horses. Much of the family’s free time is spent with their large, four-legged friends.
